Parbat: An alternative route to connect Nayapul of Parbat and Kaski to Ghorepani of Myagdi in the Annapurna circuit is likely to be completed.
The 28 km alternative route from Nayapul to Ghorepani is in its final stage. The new route is being constructed with an estimated budget of 7 million invested by the Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment Ministry of Gandaki state.
The new route which is complete for 17 km has already been opened for domestic and foreign tourists. Now the famous tourist spot Bhamarkot can be reached by using this new route.
The new route under construction for Nayapul-Deupur-Bhamarkot-Ghorepani under the leadership of local Man Bahadur Khadka will be ready within one year.
The new route is opulent with beautiful flora and fauna with flowers and natural vegetation all along the route. Sunrise and sunset can be seen from the 3100-meter high altitude that lies on this route.
Plans are underway to connect this route to tourist town Pokhara in the future. According to Prem Poudel, who is chairman of the Modi Rural Municipality master plan is being chalked out to run homestays at beautiful villages of Bhukkadeurali, Tangle, Lapsi, Deupur to make it the main tourist destination.
